The Solution
Thomas Norton was asked to assist the customer with its software vendor to consolidate multiple site license accounts across a number of European locations into a single account. Each site license schedule was reviewed and relevant licenses identified for renewal, re-activation or new purchase. Old or expired software was identified and removed from the schedule. Current software license volumes were matched with actual server and user installations and the most appropriate renewal type was pinpointed.
The consolidated schedule was presented to the software distributor and vendor, showing in detail the source account, license type, part number and volume of licenses required. Thomas Norton worked closely with the distributor and vendor personnel to ensure all existing accounts were consolidated into a single new account that acted as a single point of administration for the customer.
Once the consolidated account was in place, all license renewals were completed and the latest release of the software and its multi-lingual versions were made available to the customer.
